How a thief made off with $47,000 diamond ring

When you think of a robbery you usually think of things being broken or damaged and than everything being done well in the this case it was more of a linger and lift.

The owner of of a small jewelry store in Doylestown Shopping Center said this man who walked off with the diamond engagement ring looked at merchendise for over 2 hours before he finally found the opportunity to swipe the gem while the clerk wasn’t looking.

“We’ve had things happen like this in the past” he says but it was clear what the people were doing the would swipe the diamond rings out of the clerks hands and run. However in this case the thief made it a point to really tire out the sales person.

According to Robinson the owner of the jewelry store. The surveillance video clearly shows the man holding the diamond ring and than quickly covering it with his fingers when he had the opportunity.

With in seconds the man was out the door. He said he needed to get his check book and left. The sales person didn’t even realize that anything was missing until she was putting all the other diamond engagement rings aways.

It is led to believe that this mad specifically chose the most expensive ring in the case but not just in the case in the highest priced item in the store. Â
