Not Again!!! Paris Hilton is Said to Wed Benji Madden

Wednesday, April 30th, 2008

Paris Hilton is wearing yet another engagement ring after being with Benji Madden for just a matter of weeks. What gets people even more shocked is Paris being introduced as a sister-in-law by Benji’s brother, Joel.

To add to the rumors of their wedding, Benji has a blinging diamond ring with Paris Hilton’s initials. Many people were wondering what happened with their invitations to the wedding.

People keep putting aside this so-called stunt but Benji is said to be really serious about the whole thing and goes as far as discussing marriage plans with his brother, Joel.

A conversation between Benji and Joel had come up making things unclear about whether all this is serious. Joel is uneasy about the friendship of Paris and his girlfriend, also the mother of his child, Nicole Richie. Their relationship has been said to be very shaky and unstable for a while.

The media and band mates of Benji have had enough of Paris always being with him and are certain that Paris is just rebound of his ex whom he was engaged to right before he met Paris. Finding it hard to believe that Benji really loves Paris, his friends all think he is crazy.

Now, the only thing that people are waiting to see is whether Benji will beat his brother to the finish line and get married before Joel. Although, Joel and his wife spoke of legally getting married once their daughter was born.

Diamond Websites Have the Upper Hand Due to Economy

Tuesday, April 29th, 2008

“An economic forecast is only good if everything stays the same.”

The economy’s impact on jewelry can be studied once there is a clear picture of the overall economy. After much analyzing of the present economy, we find a drop in March, of 64.5 points in the Consumer Confidence Index. It has been the lowest figure in 26 years.

Gas prices keep increasing and are now heading to $4 a gallon. As the U.S. dollar stays weak and oil prices and the threat of inflation continue to increase, gold continues to increase as well. During March, gold reaches an amount of $1,038 per ounce, attaining a record but then falls below $1,000, which offers no prediction. There are those economists who say there is supposed to be a decline and others who feel they are in one already. The rate of April’s unemployed people is supposed to be higher than March. Consumers have started cutting down on spending, now giving recovery a greater chance.

This downfall of the economy is obviously affecting the jewelry industry as well, raising the amount of gold, diamonds and silver. Therefore, customers are forced to cut back on luxuries, while companies try to be kept from closing down.

Even when such extreme downfalls occur, jewelers just find it an “annoying part of the scene- been there done that.” Some jewelers, who tried and succeeded in taking the safer approach, cut down on payrolls, while others were forced to close down their companies all together due to bankruptcy.

During today’s society the Web has becomes a vital part of any marketing mix. The Internet has developed into the very source to almost anything that is done around the world. Whether it is, buying, selling, trading, communicating, browsing or anything else.

This is where we come in! Diamonds on Fifth makes it easier by having access to gold, diamonds, silver, engagement rings, loose diamonds, and more over the Internet. By having a website automatically, our company gets less affected by the outrageous downfall allowing our customers to continue shopping at the same steady costs.

Preserving memories

Tuesday, April 15th, 2008

For one man his spear time is all about cherished memories. Bob Grattan is a diver in his spear time and when he dives he looks for cherished pieces to be able to reunite with the loved ones.

Allot of the time Bob has nothing better to do than sell these wedding band watches or tennis bracelets. However for one lucky couple things were about to change.

On Bobs most recent dive he recovered a class ring that had a clue to it. The ring had a gold band and it was marked “University of Maryland, 1951″ and had 2 initials.

Bob called up the university and began to call the 3 people that he was given on his last call he found the couple.

The wife Kiki said that she was the one who lost it. When the husband had proposed the were to poor for a fancy engagement ring so he proposed with his class ring instead.

For this couple even though the ring was replaced along time ago it was great to have the memories back from a class ring that was turned “engagement ring“  giving back to the couple of 52 years.

Treasured metals high prices

Monday, April 14th, 2008

Once thought to be little more than trinkets, old jewelry stuffed away in attics and keepsakes in boxes has suddenly become a small treasure because of the extraordinarily high price of gold and silver.

Gold which is now being sold for $900 an ounce has more than dubbeld compared to four years ago and silver has hit a record high of $20 an ounce up from last years $7.

People are now walking into stores and selling there gold and silver some people have even resorted into selling the metal coupling out of their air-conditioners and walking out of the store with thousands of dollars.

However lucky these prices are not making a dent in those people who are wishing to buy engagement rings.

These people don’t care that the gold or silver in their engagement rings are going to cost more because it is believed that when the economy is going through some rough times gold and silver is looked at to be rarity and beauty and who wouldn’t want to have that.

For more information about the prices of gold and silver and where you can if you are interested in selling click on the link below.
