Worlds Smallest Diamond

At a Meir 5 micrometers across and 300 nanometers thick, this diamondring is unlikely to fit on anyone’s finger. However this ring was designed to attempt to help scientist build powerful computers that use the properties of quantum physics.

“For quantum information processing diamondstruly have some unique possibilities,” said Steven Prawer.

Building a quantum computers have enormous challenges and diamondsmaybe able to help over come some of those challenges that scientist will face.
