Has Peaches Geldof Actually Agreed To A Marriage With No Ring?

Tuesday, August 26th, 2008

While Peaches Geldof was out at her husband’s concert last night, everyone else had been wondering whether her marriage to American Max Drummey was already in trouble…

Nineteen year old Peaches was spotted with still no wedding ring on her finger while at her new husband’s concert.

Although it has not caught people’s attention that she was not wearing a wedding ring in previous occasions, lately Peaches looks like she is making an effort to be seen wearing different rings. It seems like she is trying to make it appear as a symbol of her shocking wedding earlier this month in LA.

However, watching her husband perform with his band N*E*R*D at London’s Astoria last night, Peaches was wearing no ring at all on her finger, going back to her old ways.

At last, the pair had a photo taken of them together with their arms linked while leaving the place later that night, except neither was smiling.

After eight days of being apart the couple finally had a chance to spend some time together on Tuesday.

For a couple that had just gotten married, Peaches and Max Drummey look very somber leaving the concert that night.

After only four weeks together, the couple were wed in an infamous Little White Chapel. The ceremony lasted just fifteen minutes with barely one witness to it.

Rumors were out claiming the wedding was just an act to support Drummey’s band, who are about to make public a new album.

Peaches’ agent had released a statement confirming that the couple had wed with the full support of family and friends.

There are references, which state that Drummey is using marriage to enhance his career.

Pixie, seventeen, Peaches’ younger sister is very concerned about her sisters marriage and future.

Peaches says, “Peaches has got problems just like all of us have about what happened to my mum.”

The well-known singer, Bob, Peaches father was initially thought to disapprove of hos daughters wedding, but out of no choice, he is ready to support his daughter in whatever decision she makes.

A Medieval Diamond Ring Found By A Treasure Hunter

Thursday, August 21st, 2008

A treasure hunter using a metal detector finds a medieval gold ring with a rare black diamond ring set inside.

A forty-two year old from Hinckley named John Stevens noticed the ring had some lettering after he brushed off the mud signifying that it was of the early medieval period, probably the 11th century.

Not having been valued yet, the ring is presumed to be worth tens of thousands of dollars.

Brett Hammond, a specialist in antiquities said, “It was clearly an important item of treasure, It is a gold ring possibly containing a rare black diamond. It is a beautiful early medieval inscribed finger ring that would have been owned by a very wealthy person, in the church or possibly even royalty.

“Common people in that era were not even allowed to own gold, so it must have been owned by a powerful person.”

Since black diamonds are so rare nowadays, coming from Africa, then going back about 1,000 years ago, black diamonds must have been even rarer.

John Stevens states that he was in a ploughed field with a bunch of friends when he came across the ring about five inches deep. He says, “It is boldly inscribed with lettering that certainly looks very early medieval to my untrained eye.

“I don’t know yet what the letters spell out, but if they indicate a royal owner it might be worth tens of thousand of pounds.”

Is Hilary Sporting An Actual Engagement Ring?

Wednesday, August 20th, 2008

Although there are rumors that Hilary might be engaged because of her new bling, there are also many doubts.

The primary reason that Hilary does not seem engaged is because even though she seems like a regular and simple girl does not mean she wouldn’t prefer a multiple carat ring over a plain gold band.

Furthermore, Hilary Duff is known for wearing lots of jewelry, especially rings. The most recent proof of this os on Friday when Hilary was at Katsuya with her boyfriend Mile Combrie she was wearing three different rings on her right hand. Several weeks before that she was seen wearing an enormous and bulging ring on her left hand with a bunch of bracelets added to it.

This is confirmation that Hilary Duff is most probably not engaged and is just having some fun with some more rings and new styles.

Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres At Last, Tie The Knot

Monday, August 18th, 2008

The most essential occasion of their lives had taken place at their luxuriant Los Angeles home. The ceremony of Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres was very intimate, consisting of close family members of the brides. There was a total of nineteen people reported to attend the wedding. As part of the guest there were DeGeneres’ mother Betty and de Rossi’s mom, Margaret Rogers. Margaret Rogers was flown in from Australia to attend her daughter’s wedding. There were no other celebrities to attend the wedding ceremony.

Both brides wore Zac Posen and the rings, which were exchanged, were signed by Neil Lane. The couple exchanged handwritten vows. According to several reporters, an LA florist named Mark’s Garden adorned the flowers.

A spokesperson at the wedding had confirmed the happy occasion by saying, “Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi were married tonight in an intimate ceremony at their home in Los Angeles.”

Soon after the Supreme court of California permitted the marriages of gays, Portia was spotted sporting a marquis shaped three-carat pink diamond ring on her finger. By that time, DeGeneres was winning her fourth statue for her unbelievable talk show host category. It was reported that Ellen joked that her Emmy trophies would be adorning her wedding cake.

While walking down the red carpet Ellen states, “planning a wedding is very stressful. It is crazy. My gardener is now invited.”

Rumors had it that after the couple had purchased an 8,500 square foot Cabrillo Drive home last year, they were planning on closing off their part of the street, making their home an ultra private dwelling. Their decision was yet to hang on the results of a public hearing. Â

Engagement Ring Found On The Hood Of A Car In Middle Of The Road

Wednesday, August 13th, 2008

As he is about to make the biggest decision of his life, 23-year old, Tyler Jones accidentally leaves the $3,000 diamond engagement ring on the hood of his girlfriend’s car. From this point the man actually goes from being extremely unlucky to exceedingly lucky when a man riding his Harley-Davidson sees a small black jewelry box on a car in middle of the road.

Tyler’s mother, Karen Jones says, “I never thought we’d see that ring again.”

Days pass as the Jones family turns their house upside-down looking for the ring until they have almost completely given up hope. As their last resort, they placed an ad in the Standard Examiner, being aware of the fact that anybody finding the ring will most probably not want to give back a diamond ring.

What the family certainly did not know was that Monte Kirk had found the ring while riding his Harley one day.

Kirk is quoted saying, “I opened the box and found a diamond ring inside. You don’t find that every day.” Kirk took the ring home to his wife, Debbie, and she said they would stay alert checking the newspaper for anyone missing a ring.

After waiting an entire week, Jones decided to go ahead and propose to Amanda Anderson anyway (with or without the original ring). Saturday afternoon Jones made the verdict to buy another ring and watch for it more carefully this time.

However, Kirk and his wife had seen the ad and were trying to reach Jones and tell him. When Kirk at last got through with Karen Jones answering to him.

“She was so happy,” Kirk said. “Her son works two jobs and was going to propose that very day.”

Kirk asked Karen to describe the ring in detail to make sure it was the right one. When he was sure it was the same ring, Kirk and his wife hopped on the Harley and met Karen Jones at a nearby store.

“He suddenly brought out the ring from behind his back, and I Just started bawling,” she said, “I asked him to follow me over to the bank to give him the ($100) reward. He wouldn’t accept the reward, though.”

Kirk said he never thought of keeping the ring.

Kirk seemed very considerate and sympathetic of the matter and stated, I know my wife would be sick if she lost her ring. There wasn’t anything else to do. It wasn’t rightfully mine. I had to find the owner.”

Later that day Anderson said, “yes” to Jones’ proposal.

Diamond Rings Are Now Being Bought Two At A Time Per Couple

Monday, August 11th, 2008

Proposing to a girl for marriage with a diamond ring on one knee has been the traditional way to tie the knot. The man goes through the most difficult period in his life on just figuring out how to pop the question to the girl, let alone how big of a rock he can afford. The woman then acts as if she is surprised even though she knew the day was coming and then begins the big scene of crying… But, it seems like this beautiful tradition will soon be replaced by the masses of gay couples that are changing the idea of how a proposal should really happen.

Heather Matarazzo, the actress who is best known for her klutzy role in The Princess Diaries and Welcome to the Dollhouse, is used as the perfect model when she had proposed to her girlfriend, Caroline Murphy, the previous week. Due to having no traditional male-female roles, they had both popped the question to each other at the same time. Lisa Jammal, Matarazzo’s publicist said, “It was so cute. First Heather proposed to Caroline, then Caroline proposed to her!”

This new idea can become a huge benefit to the diamond industry. But, other than a solitaire diamond ring there are new designs that are expected to come out. Gemstones such as rubies, emeralds, and sapphires, are suggested ideas that can be used for engagement ring designs as either an offset or a replacement for diamonds all together.

Now engagement rings are opening its doors to new looks and designs for anyone type of couple.Â

New Online Website Created Due to A $40,000 Lost Engagement Ring Which Was Found and Returned

Thursday, August 7th, 2008

While walking in the parking lot of the Tysons Corner shopping mall , Keith Stetzer of Fairfax, Virginia had stumbled upon a 3.02 carat platinum diamond engagement ring. Not thinking twice about it, the man noticed the name Mervis imprinted on it and took it straight to Mervis Diamond Importers, which is a Washington DC Jeweler in order to find the owner of the ring. The jeweler appraised the ring at over $40,000.

Keith had stated, “I’m just trying to return something somebody lost. Its not mine. I didn’t earn it.” Jon Mervis collected 20 years of records with customers who had purchased a diamond ring similar in color and clarity to the one found. Almost immediately after the story got to the press, people began calling to claim the ring.

Mervis began his search for the rightful owner by comparing his claimants’ certificates to the measurements and description of the stone that was found. Only one certificate had passed the test. The piece of evidence that confirmed the match of the certificate to the ring was that the matching certificate showed that the diamond was one of a limited edition diamonds produced in the year 2000 by the Washington DC Jeweler. If the found diamond was actually the same stone, then the diamond should contain the laser inscription, “Mervis 2000.” After examining the diamond under magnification the marking was indeed found on the stone and the match was made.

The Washington DC Jeweler has since been confronted with over a dozen other such cases of either lost or found diamond rings. Jon Mervis decided that since a diamond ring can be something very important and meaningful to a lady, he created an online Diamond Ring Lost and Found site.Â

Black Diamonds Are Famous Worldwide For Their Rarity As Well As Being Enclosed in an Air of Mysticism

Wednesday, August 6th, 2008

Black diamonds are known to be very hard to grade and process due to its color. Therefore, black diamonds require high grade of industrial art, which makes people want it more than other diamonds.

Black diamonds, along with green, yellow and red are considered fancy diamonds. What makes colorful diamonds is usually solar radiation. However, black diamonds receive their color through a large amount of small embeddings.

Black diamonds were known to mankind several hundred years before they actually became popular in the nineteen nineties. Since black diamonds are becoming even more famous, the jewelry manufacturing industry is producing the diamonds using radiation.

One of the most famous black diamonds known to history is called ‘Black Orlov’, which was once owned by the Russian princess Nadia Vygin-Orlov.

The 67-carat cushion cut diamond has been covered in mystery throughout its history ever since. Rumors were spread about the ‘Black Orlov’ being stolen in India and then belonged to the Russian princess. Then there are those others who believe of a curse on the diamond, which had no proof of it.¼/p>

Man Attempts to Smuggle Diamonds into Israel Worth $200,000

Tuesday, August 5th, 2008

Suspicious agents caught a Georgian man with rough diamonds worth about $200,000, after searching through his luggage.

The Ben Gurion International Airport’s Department of Customs had taken away diamonds worth over NIS 700,000. Unit officers then arrested the Georgian man who took responsibility for the diamonds and tried to smuggle the precious stones into Israel. After being taken to the Magistrate’s court in Ramla the suspect was released under specific circumstances.

Tangis Kikinashvili, the suspect, picked up his suitcase after landing in Israel and passed through the green custom lane, which meant nothing to declare, but raised suspicions of the drug and customs officers. When the customs agents finally opened the luggage, they were left in shock to reveal a large amount of rough diamonds.

After being taken in to Ben Gurion Airport for questioning by the Department of Customs, Kikinashvili had confessed about knowing of the law which required a fee for responsibilities put to customs on particular goods. Kikinashvili had also estimated the value of the diamonds to be around $200,000.

Conversely, the customs unit that are investigating the case claim the worth of the diamonds to be much more than the amount the suspect had estimated. An electronic check done on the man found that he is not part of the Stock Exchange and thus forbidden to trade diamonds in the country.

Moreover, the diamonds had been discovered to be part of an offense committed against the Kimberly Treaty of 2002, which is a worldwide treaty intended to abolish the occurrence of ‘conflict diamonds‘ or ‘blood diamonds‘.
