Engagement Ring Cupcakes

Thursday, March 6th, 2008

This article really goes out to all those handsome men who are looking for a fun and special way to pop that nail biting question of “will you marry me.”

When you think of a men proposing to a women, you always think the same thing; a man getting down on one knee, taking the ring box out of his jacket or pants pocket, opening it up, looking into the women’s eyes and saying “will you marry me.”

Yes that may be the safe conventional way to go, but why play it safe? why not shake it up a bit, with something fun and different, and so special, that she will never forget.

Growing up I always loved those Salerno butter cookies; you no the ones that are kinda of a flower shape with a hole in the middle. They were always so much fun to eat because as a little girl you can put them on your finger and pretend that they were engagement rings.

So with that in mind how about engagement ring cupcakes. You can bake or buy a cupcake and in the center put one of those Salerno butter cookies and use a marshmallow on the top to create the diamond.

Not only is this something fun, but I guarantee you that that special someone, who you are poppint the queshtion to will be blown away with the creativity and effort you went to, just to make that night a little more special and unforgettable.

Want to know more about this fun idea just click on this link below for more info and the recipe for these spectacular and yummy cupcakes.

Diamonds In The Sky

Thursday, February 28th, 2008

Scientist Charles Bauschilicher and his research team have found a new way to look for “diamonds in the sky.”

It may not be romantic, but diamonds shine especially brightly in the 3.4 to 3.5 micron and 6 to 10 micron infrared ranges, which should make NASA’s spitzer telescope the perfect to see them with.

Though less common and more monopolized on earth, diamonds are surprisingly common in outer space and in the nanometer- size bits consist of 3% of all the carbon found in meteorites.

That means that if meteorite composition is representative of interstellar dust that dust would contain about 10 quadrillion nanodiamonds per gram.

Tacky 50 grand mobile plastered in diamonds

Monday, February 4th, 2008

The Softbank 823SH phone ranges in a lot of different colors and styles for bits of animals to diamonds.

Never a place of disappointment, Japan has been even odder than usual this week, with not just a platinum encased PC released, but also with a mobile phone.

People believe that the PC is just a publicity stunt and they doubt it even exist; however the phone covered in diamonds is actually for sale courtesy of Softbank Mobile.

Softbank is offering its Premium Texture 823Sh hand set for sale in a batch of 10.

The mobile phone is covered in 400 tiny lose diamonds from Tiffany Japan, making it more of a show piece and will most likely end up in a show case than in someone pocket.

More appealing, however are its less garish siblings that come with a choice of front panels made of everything from wood to pink crocodile skin.
