Treasured metals high prices

Monday, April 14th, 2008

Once thought to be little more than trinkets, old jewelry stuffed away in attics and keepsakes in boxes has suddenly become a small treasure because of the extraordinarily high price of gold and silver.

Gold which is now being sold for $900 an ounce has more than dubbeld compared to four years ago and silver has hit a record high of $20 an ounce up from last years $7.

People are now walking into stores and selling there gold and silver some people have even resorted into selling the metal coupling out of their air-conditioners and walking out of the store with thousands of dollars.

However lucky these prices are not making a dent in those people who are wishing to buy engagement rings.

These people don’t care that the gold or silver in their engagement rings are going to cost more because it is believed that when the economy is going through some rough times gold and silver is looked at to be rarity and beauty and who wouldn’t want to have that.

For more information about the prices of gold and silver and where you can if you are interested in selling click on the link below.

The Rising Price of Platinum. WOW!

Monday, February 25th, 2008

The price of platinum, the metal choice by consumers for their engagement rings, wedding rings, and wedding bands has risen meteorically over the past year and on a daily basis especially in the last few weeks.

From mid-December 2007 until present the price of Platinum has risen by $800.00 an ounce!

The weak dollar, rising oil prices, and power and electricity shortages in South Africa which mines the bulk of the world Platinum have all contributed to the price increase.

Manufactures of Platinum Jewelry have no option but to raise prices and pass on theses price increase to their retail jeweler. As a consequence your Gold and Platinum Jewelry is becoming dramatically more expensive and costly.

Precious Metals Analysts expect these price increases to continue in the foreseeable future.
