FAQ
For a woman, the proposal is a moment she’s dreamed of and will always remember. For a man, it is important to give her the proposal she’s always wanted. Whether you plan something spectacular or something quite intimate, the following tips will help you craft a very personal engagement.

What is most memorable about your first date? Use your first date, your first kiss or the first time you spoke as a basis or theme.

What are her favorite things? Think of places, foods, colors, flowers, activities, music, movies she loves, and incorporate a few special touches to show how well you know her.

Include loved ones or close friends.

Keep it simple, make it fun. Some of the best proposals are not elaborate. They involve an inside joke, a past experience or a private memory that is meaningful to the couple.

Take her out to a local movie theater. Most movie theaters will let you buy a slide that plays on screen before the feature. You can design your own slide telling her how much she means to you and asking her if she’ll marry you. Watch as the entire theater strains to see her astonished reaction.

Ask a local museum if they would put your ring on display with a display card reading that this was the very ring used by you (your name) on that particular day to ask her to be your bride.

Hire a magician to entertain the two of you or if you like more public displays, go to a magic show and have the magician make the box with the engagement ring mysteriously appear as the surprise ending of the last trick. Ask the magician to have her help him with this trick

Tongue-tied? Have a plane sky write your proposal, or fly a banner with your Marry me (insert name here). Take your honey to a wide open space—the beach, park or stadium ---and simply point. Have your diamond ring ready when she sees your proposal.

Another highflying idea. Take her on a hot air balloon ride and propose to her while you are in the clouds.

Have a friend pose as a psychic and prime him with harmless little secrets about the two of you. Be sure to ask the right personal questions to make it seem authentic. Have the psychic predict a diamond in her very near future. This is your cue to present her with a ring.

Go to the beach with your honey and casually build her a sand castle. Place the ring on the highest turret and invite her to admire your handiwork---then pop the question.

While she’s napping on the beach sneak away and spell out your intentions with seashells. Then go for a stroll with her and let the seashells do the talking.

Spell your proposal out with glow-in-the-dark white stickers on the ceiling. Turn the light off and listen to her gasp.

Put it on your girlfriend’s screensaver and be there when she opens her computer. Then present her with the ring.

For the chocoholic: Chocolate-dip the diamond box and insert it in the center of a box of chocolates when you are alone for the evening. Offer her the largest one and open it with flair.

During dinner at your favorite restaurant, arrange with the waiter to have the diamond in the box as one of the choices on the desert tray. Don’t forget to tell her that she is the sweetest thing you know and can’t resist her any longer.

If you’re in a fancy dining restaurant you can ask the staff to write “will you marry me?” in chocolate sauce around the rim of her dessert plate.

At a favorite Chinese food restaurant arrange for the waiter to give her a special fortune cookie with a “will you marry me” message, or “You will receive a diamond in the near future.” Then present your diamond.

Good Luck!

It was a beautiful spring day and my boy friend took me to flight school which gives you plane rides for two, over any neighboring area you request.
Flying in private planes was always my little dream. We started flying over the section of the city where I live in, which has a baseball field nearby. Imagine my shock when across the field I saw written in large letters made out of white cloth “Tina, will you marry me, yours forever Michael.” I looked at Michael and we embraced and with tears in my eyes I said yes. Next he presented me with the most beautiful platinum ring with a 1 carat diamond set in a tiffany setting. It sparkled like nothing I have ever seen before. This was truly the happiest and most memorable moment in my life thus far.

My marriage proposal was out in the open sea- a place where both Robert and I love to be. Robert had rented a yacht, which had sails. It was a lovely day with sky so blue and the sun shining brightly. We started out with the sails rolled up. After about 15 minutes, the winds changed and the crewman taking us rolled down the sails. The large white sail read in large letters, “Samantha, will you marry me? I was thrilled. Then Robert showed me a little gift box. When I opened it there sat the most brilliant diamond ring you ever saw. Its three square diamonds sparkled in the sun, it took my breath away. I hugged him and kissed. him. Of course, I said yes.

I am a public school teacher and standing in front of my class one day, one of the students passed a note to another student. I immediately went up to his desk and took away the note. When I got to the front of the class, I opened the note to read it. It said, “Will you marry me please?” I looked at the student and thought, Boy this guy needs help: But then at that instant, in walked my boyfriend Sean, carrying a black velvet cushion with a ring box on top. He kneeled down on one knee and said, “Will you?” There was total silence in the classroom. I simply said yes and we embraced amidst loud cheering and applause. Next, the principal walked in beaming. I had never been so surprised in my life.
